Position Description

Health+ Studio is looking for an individual to join our team as a Program Director. This position will support the Studio’s engagement on various projects ranging in topics and kinds of clients, with a focus on strategic communications and social cause marketing projects.

The ideal candidate has an understanding of strategic communications and marketing for public health and related social causes, has relevant competencies and subject matter expertise, is drawn to new challenges and likes to solve problems, is an excellent communicator, detail-oriented, self-motivated, and highly organized.

Roles & Responsibilities

The Program Director will be responsible for developing and nurturing client relationships, strategy development, stakeholder engagement, research and data analysis, development of work products, and project management, as well as managing external consultants. The Program Director will represent the Studio with clients and other stakeholders and partners engaged on the assigned projects.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

●  Working closely with Health+ leadership to accomplish studio and client goals and objectives
●  Providing project management support in the form of developing and advancing work plans, meeting agendas and other meeting materials
●  Conducting research and data analyses for purposes of responding to client requests for information, developing issue papers, briefing materials and presenting strategy and program recommendations to clients
●  Planning and executing stakeholder engagement activities such as expert interviews associated with the project
●  Briefing Health+ leadership and clients, both orally and in writing, on programmatic issues and research related to client projects
●  Drafting briefs and memorandums for internal and external knowledge sharing and consensus building
●  Engaging in initiative-wide activities such as sub-committee and advisory board meetings

Required Qualifications
●  Demonstrated competencies in at least one of the following areas: public health related program planning, development, and evaluation, social cause marketing and strategic communications; user experience and audience engagement; organizational development; or corporate-social responsibility
●  A Master’s degree in communications, journalism, public health, public policy, social work, or a social impact related discipline is required
●  At least eight years of experience working in marketing, communications or health promotion programs through either non-profits and/or public health agencies
●  Experience in managing the development of communication tools and assets, such as messaging, websites, social media, branding, communications plans, videos, and marketing campaigns
●  Experienced project manager with a strong work ethic, attention to detail, time management, ability to prioritize, problem-solve, willingness to learn, and a collaborative work style
●  Excellent oral and written communication skills including interviewing, synthesizing, writing, and public speaking – with an emphasis on clarity, brevity and persuasiveness
●  Adept at conducting secondary research and able to translate complex scientific and technical concepts to non-technical audiences
●  A strong strategic and creative thinker and collaborator
●  Experience using standard business applications such as Excel, PowerPoint, and project management software, such as Monday.com

●  Able to develop relationships with various kinds of stakeholders, including clinicians, state and local government partners, and community health advocates, among others

Location

This position works 100% remote.

Compensation

Compensation will be commensurate with experience within the range of $85,000-$95,000.

Benefits

Full-time eligible employees will be offered a taxable allowance per month to be used at their discretion including towards their health care cost. Further, we support a healthy work-life balance. Health+ offers unlimited PTO policy that is available to all eligible full-time staff. We also provide paid sick time (which accrues up to 40 hours per year) and company-paid holidays to all employees.
