Equal Ground Education/Action Fund Part-Time Operations Manager

Organization Background

Given the serious threat to progressive values across Florida, Equal Ground Education Fund/Action Fund has begun an effort to engage the rising American Electorate through civic engagement activities with the goal to build and expand current capacity in communities of color. We will be hiring staff to implement a plan supporting this effort.

Mission: With communities of color, we advise, empower, and evaluate political representation to create vital change through civic engagement, strategic planning, and social impact. We train, mobilize, and educate because we believe that an engaged community is a powerful community.

Work with the leadership team to ensure the smooth processing of accounting, accounts payable and compliance documents.
Process employee payroll, reimbursements and other expenses
Work with the Director to assist with in-state hiring and tracking and on-board new staff
Manage equipment, including providing devices or google phone numbers to new staff, and ensuring all equipment is logged and returned
Ensure timesheet compliance for all employees.
Update staffing lists and contact information
Collect and process reimbursement paperwork, including, but not limited to, invoices from vendors and contractors, check and wire requests, and credit card payments for expenses
Support the Director in managing and resolving operational issues
Perform general office administrative and clerical duties
Assist the Director in administering and managing Health and Safety guidelines Assists with purchase requests and supply orders
Other logistics and operations tasks as needed
Qualifications and Skills

Interpersonal skills to communicate with both executives and employees in order to create and administer policies
A thorough understanding of financial and budgeting processes
Strong personal and professional judgment
Ability to respond quickly to a shifting reality and adjust initiatives and priorities accordingly
Organizational skills and the flexibility to jump from priority to priority
Self-motivation, professionalism and a positive demeanor.
Excellent verbal, written and analytical skills.
Extremely organized.
Knowledge of Google Suite.
Ability to work outside of typical business hours, including nights and weekends.
Commit to details, results, and consistent improvement.
A strong commitment to Equal Ground Education/Action Fund ideals and issues.

Location: Remote in Orlando

Compensation: This position is salaried plus up to $500 in healthcare benefits, a $100 cell phone stipend and all employer-incurred expenses covered. This position requires no more than 30 hours per week.

Logistics

Must have a valid driver’s license, reliable mode of transportation and the ability to travel at time throughout the county
Must have access to a working smartphone
Must have the ability to lift and carry 25 lbs regularly.
Must have the ability to travel
