Organization Background
Given the serious threat to progressive values across Florida, Equal Ground Education Fund/Action Fund has
begun an effort to engage the rising American Electorate through civic engagement activities with the goal to
build and expand current capacity in communities of color. We will be hiring staff to implement a plan
supporting this effort.
Mission: With communities of color, we advise, empower, and evaluate political representation to create vital
change through civic engagement, strategic planning, and social impact. We train, mobilize, and educate
because we believe that an engaged community is a powerful community.
● Project manage timely completion of all foundation deadlines, regular donor/prospect communications,
and donor engagement activities.
● Manage donor acknowledgment process.
● Project manage and execute all donor engagement and outreach activities.
● Project manage our monthly donor newsletter.
● Provide central coordination for development activities.
Track and Manage all Data and Outreach
● Track foundation grants and reporting deadlines.
● Track and maintain donor and prospect records, including outreach and contributions.
● Track communications with stakeholders and funders.
● Create regular fundraising reports as needed.
● Maintain department data and files.
Prospect Research
● Research foundation and individual prospects.
● Compile materials for principal’s meetings and speaking engagements including background
information, packets, etc.
Qualifications and Skills
● A minimum of 2 to 3 years’ experience in a nonprofit and philanthropic environment in a role that
demonstrates professional growth in responsibilities related to project management and development.
● Must have previous experience supporting fundraising efforts.
● Outstanding attention to detail.
● Strong project management skills.
● Experience ‘managing up’.

● Strong and concise writing skills.
● Excellent communication skills.
● Ability to both work remotely, independently and in collaboration.
● Experience with donor management software is a plus.
● Creativity and an entrepreneurial spirit.
● A demonstrated commitment to social and racial justice issues and understanding of challenges facing
communities of color and low-income families.

Location: Remote
Compensation: This position pays $60,000 annually plus a healthcare and cell phone stipend along with all
employee-incurred expenses covered.
Logistics
● Must have a valid driver’s license, reliable mode of transportation, and the ability to travel at time
throughout the county
● Must have access to a working smartphone
● Must have the ability to lift and carry 25 lbs regularly.
● Must have the ability to travel as needed
