SR. ECONOMIC INCLUSION PROGRAM MANAGER NORTHWEST REGION

POSITION OVERVIEW

The Senior Economic Inclusion Manager will take the lead for the region for workforce development programs including the creation of the new Electrical Pathways program and supporting existing programs that advance Emerald Cities Collaborative’s mission to focus on creating family wage careers, and community wealth for BIPOC communities in clean energy, affordable housing, and other infrastructure projects.

RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Develop and manage the Electrical Pathways Program that will feature solar installer training, and an electrical pre-apprenticeship that will provide pathways to careers and diversity workers in the electrical trades.

2. Support increasing the diversity of workers in the clean energy economy by supporting ECC’s HVAC Training Program. Align training with careers in building engineering, the HVAC industry, affordable housing and building electrification efforts. Continually improve the outcomes of the program – providing successful career pathways for program graduates while managing the budget and assisting with fundraising.

3. Explore the development of new policies, programs and partnerships that support ECC’s goals of expanding living-wage career opportunities for BIPOC communities’ members in the clean energy sector through workforce development

4. Develop revenue-generating opportunities through grants and contracts to provide workforce development and other economic inclusion programs for public, non-profit and private sector organizations.

5. Participate in regional and national workforce development organizations and activities supporting Emerald Cities Collaborative’s mission and vision.

EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS

Requirements:

● Minimum of 5 years of experience in workforce development and/or working with disadvantaged and/or BIPOC communities.

● Bachelor of Arts or equivalent life experience.

● Strong commitment to advancing racial, gender and social equity.

● Budget management experience.

● Experience managing staff.

● Program design/development expertise.

● Communications/marketing to diverse communities and partners.

● Strategic and task oriented.

● History of working with and relationships with BIPOC community-based organizations and leaders.

● Success in working with multiple constituencies – labor, community, industry, and government.

● Strong writing, verbal communication, and analytical skills.

● Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to work as a self-starting member of a team.

● Entrepreneurial.

● Ability to multi-task – organized and flexible.

Schedule & Location

The Sr. Economic Inclusion Manager, NW Region, position is based in Seattle, Washington.

Work week is Monday to Friday, Salaried position.

Work from home, with quarterly in-person meetings and on-site visits and meetings as needed to perform job related tasks.
