Classification – Exempt This is a full-time exempt position with flexible work hours. A typical work week is Mon – Thursday.  This position may include extensive travel around the country around 20% of the year.

POSITION DESCRIPTION
The MED Education and Training Program Manager leads the organization’s efforts to increase knowledge and experience with electoral reforms and supporting partners by providing learning opportunities and technical assistance.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Build and manage relationships with national, state, and local organizations and leaders focused on electoral systems reform
  • Develop, deliver, and evaluate curricula, educational materials, and other collateral for MED regarding electoral systems reform
  • Assist partners in developing materials to support their efforts and campaigns
  • Work with other staff members and partners to develop qualitative research questions and projects, including focus groups and surveys
  • Identify and develop learning opportunities to be shared with MED partner organizations
  • Provide regular communications and updates and recruit MED partner organizations to participate in learning opportunities
  • Participate in partner campaigns and coalitions
  • Record keeping; reporting; processing vendor invoices, stipends, reimbursements, etc.
  • Event organizing and planning; logistical planning for travel and lodging as needed
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY
This position supports the Deputy Director in supervising consultants to MED.

  • Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE 

Bachelor’s degree in relevant or related field or equivalent experience

PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • 5+ years of experience with legislative, issue, or electoral campaigns
  • 2+ years of experience the field of electoral reform
  • Direct organizing, language access implementation, ability to speak and write in another language a plus

COMPENSATION: 
The salary range for this position is $70,000 – $80,000, commensurate with experience.
