Overview

As Head of Product Engineering (m/f/d), you will lead the development of our quantum-enabled polarizer systems from prototypes to series production. You will take ownership of the transition from R&D to late-stage development of a clinical system, strengthening our internal capabilities and preparing the team for future tech transfer.

This is a unique opportunity to play a pivotal role in bringing groundbreaking technology from the lab to the market.

Key Responsibilities:


Lead the industrialization and scale-up of our quantum-enabled polarizer systems and sterile disposable cassettes, moving from prototype to series manufacturing.


Define the strategic approach for development of both the system (polarizer) as well as a complex, disposable cassette.


Establish and manage key relationships with external design and manufacturing partners and suppliers.


Handover to manufacturing for new product introduction, setting the foundation for long-term production success.


Collaborate with cross-functional leaders in R&D, product, and commercial teams to ensure technical and business alignment.


Anticipate challenges, identify risks, and develop solutions to ensure smooth scale-up.


Prepare the organization for series production by developing teams, processes, and infrastructure.


Proven leadership in industrializing complex hardware or instrumentation within diagnostics, medtech, semiconductors, or advanced technology sectors is a must-have.


Deep expertise in product engineering, manufacturing scale-up, and operational strategy or new product introduction.


Track record of successfully driving tech transfer, process validation, and series production in high-stakes environments.


Ability to work across disciplines and influence at both technical and executive levels.


Strategic thinker with a practical mindset, strong execution focus, and the ability to translate vision into results.


Outstanding leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.


Fluent English language skills; German is considered an advantage. 


Advanced degree in engineering, physics, or a related technical field is considered an advantage.
