Overview

Are you a creative person with great communication skills? Does it excite you to use your passion for arts and culture to create engaging online content? Connecticut Arts Alliance would be honored to work with you. We’re Connecticut’s statewide community of arts organizations, artists and arts champions that ensures that arts are always a vital part of life for people of all ages across the state.

You’ll work closely with our executive director to engage our membership and the public in advocating for the arts, manage our website, social media channels and e-communications, and create and execute campaigns that motivate and excite people to act. You will also represent the Arts Alliance at conferences and other public events.

We’re searching for an excellent communicator who is comfortable using e-communication tools such as Constant Contact, graphic design tools such as Adobe Photoshop, advocacy tools such as VoterVoice, and web design tools such WordPress.  We need someone who can measure the impact of communications, analyze the effectiveness of online tools and be comfortable learning new skills and technologies on the job.  Administrative duties include organizing and attending events and board functions, maintaining electronic files, conducting research, and creating reports.

Engaging with community members, the membership of the Arts Alliance, and other potential stakeholders is an essential part of this role as is increasing the visibility and understanding of the Arts Alliance’s work in the state.

We’re a small and nimble organization so being able to work with multiple priorities, maintain a flexible work schedule and take initiative without a lot of supervision are essential. We mostly operate remotely but have in-person meetings and events, so you need a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

We are offering between $20 and $25 per hour for 20 hours per week. This is an ideal position for a person with 2 to 3 years of solid communications experience who is ready to take on more.

Are you ready to get communities excited about arts and culture?  Send a cover letter or email on why this is the job for you along with a resume or similar document that tells us about your background and experience to hr@ctartsalliance.org by December 16, 2022.
