Overview
The Educational Development Group, Inc, an adult ESOL program whose mission is to prepare new immigrants for success in American society by providing them with the language skills and cultural awareness to access educational and employment opportunities. We are looking for a full time English as a Second Language teacher . We are looking for a teacher who is flexible and who is willing to adapt to EDG’s teaching methods. (There will be a learning curve)
The salary for this position is between $44850 and $48750 based on experience. Some of the classes will be on zoom and some will be in person. If you are interested in this position, please email your resume to Frances Laroche at frances@edginc.org.
Minimum requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree
Knowledge of second language acquisition theories and linguistics and their practical applications to language teaching
Previous ESOL or tutoring experience with adult immigrants
Willingness and ability to travel to Boston to teach
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Willingness to commit to EDG’s mission
