About One Fair Wage and High Road Restaurants

One Fair Wage is a national organization of restaurant workers and employers seeking to raise wages and improve working conditions in the service sector and end all subminimum wages in the United States.

Within One Fair Wage, High Road Restaurants (HRR) is a vibrant community of restaurant owners committed to professionalizing the restaurant industry by raising wages, and improving working conditions for America’s 13.6 million restaurant workers. HRR is committed to taking the “high road” to sustainable success. We believe in fair wages, better benefits, racial equity and gender equity in the restaurant industry. Through our association of nearly 2,000 employer members, we work to professionalize the restaurant industry by raising standards across the country.

Through HRR, restaurant owners learn from one another and industry experts about sustainable business models that champion living wages (especially One Fair Wage – a full minimum wage with tips on top), basic benefits, fair promotion policies, among other “high road” employer practices as recipes for success, not impediments to profitability.
