About Mobility Works

Mobility Works is a national organization that works to promote self-determination among low-income families and expand housing choice and opportunity. We provide training, advocacy, and technical assistance on housing mobility and related issues through a consortium of researchers, practitioners, and policy experts. Mobility Works first came together informally in 2016 and incorporated in 2021. We hired our first Executive Director and received notice of our IRS tax exemption in 2022.

In September of 2022, we launched the Housing Mobility Network, which is a community of practitioners, researchers, advocates, and other stakeholders invested in advancing housing mobility. Network members currently benefit from free access to interactive community of practice gatherings and webinars on topics of interest to members, mobility materials and resources, and an online member discussion platform in development. They also receive discounted registration for the Housing Mobility Training Institute and the National Conference on Housing Mobility.
