Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Part-Time Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join our team at Exygy. As a senior executive responsible for managing the financial actions of our company, the Part-Time CFO will play a crucial role in driving our financial success, and our ability to create positive social impact. This position offers flexibility with part-time hours and task-based responsibilities. You will be a part of the senior leadership team to collaborate and drive financial results.

Core Responsibilities:
-Drive the company’s financial planning
-Improve clarity in financial reporting and provide financial and business education/training to our team
-Implement financial, business, and strategic planning
-Manage cash flow, projections, and ensure appropriate cash flow for the organization’s operations
-Oversee budgeting and forecasting processes
-Develop and implement financial and operational improvement plans
-Perform risk management by analyzing the organization’s liabilities and investments
-Supervise all finance personnel, including bookkeepers and accounting personnel (currently, we have one part-time bookkeeper)
-Collaborate with senior staff and internal stakeholders to produce analysis and reporting on business delivery, efficiency, and profitability
-Control and evaluate the organization’s fundraising, capital, and ownership structure
-Review and provide feedback on contracts
-Manage business insurance policies and renewals, liaising with brokers to ensure optimal coverage
-Manage vendor relationships and ensure compliance with the law and company policies

Future / Potential Responsibilities
-Develop key relationships with funders, bankers, auditors, and lawyers
-Support mergers and acquisitions
-Assist with private equity and debt financing, as well as bank financing and investor meeting preparation

Qualifications:
-Proven experience as a CFO or in a similar financial leadership role
-Strong knowledge of financial planning, reporting, and analysis
-Excellent understanding of financial and business principles
-Advanced degree in finance, business, or a related field
-CPA or other relevant certifications preferred
-Experience in managing financial operations in a fast-paced environment
-Exceptional communication and leadership skills
-Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
-Strong analytical and problem-solving abilitiesDetail-oriented with a high level of accuracy
-Knowledge of agency business models and tech services

Exygy has embraced a work-from-home philosophy and we are now a remote-first company. This role can be located anywhere in the U.S. and may occasionally require some traveling for meetings or team-building events. Exygy remains connected and engaged with virtual team events, weekly all-hands meetings, and regular Zoom workshops and training.

Hour rate range 70.00 - 90.00 with 401K benefits
