Sr. Security Consultant, Public Sector

As an AWS Cloud Security Consultant, you will use your exceptional security compliance and hands-on security tooling and systems administration skills to help accelerate our growing Professional Services business in support of our customers. You’ll have the opportunity to use your current skills and learn new skills as you assist customers with developing highly secure, compliant cloud computing architectures and implementations. This position is for a highly technical Security Subject Matter Expert who can dive deep and work with customers to address the security, risk, and compliance needs of their AWS migrations.

We are looking for people that have:
· A strong understanding of Security, Risk, and Compliance for large scale enterprise computing solutions. The ideal candidate will have experience working as an Information Systems Security Engineer (ISSE) or Information System Security Officer (ISSO) for cloud deployments, along with a history of hands-on systems administration or engineering with demonstrated technical skills.
· Experience writing, editing, and organizing Security documentation packages, and leading organizations through Security compliance processes and accreditations.
· Demonstrated technical skills in a technical area such as one of the following: Server/OS management; Network management; Cloud migration/deployment; Database and Middleware management; enterprise Software Development; Storage and Virtualization management; Other technical area with similar enterprise scope and depth.
· Experience presenting Security technical and compliance material to both technical and non-technical customers.
Our Consultants work with Public Sector customers locally, regionally and potentially domestically. As such, Consultants must have the ability to travel to client locations to sell and deliver professional services. Travel may be 25-50%.

Basic Qualifications

· 7+ years of design/implementation/consulting experience with Security, Compliance, and Risk Management including a mix of hands-on technical work along with compliance and oversight.
· 3+ years of experience with cloud compliance and/or common industry security standards.
· Experience building Security documentation packages and leading organizations through Security compliance processes, accreditations, and/or ATO lifecycles.
· Demonstrated experience with systems administration and/or engineering in one of the following areas: Server/OS management; Network management; Cloud migration/deployment; Database and Middleware management; enterprise Software Development; Storage and Virtualization management; Other technical area with similar enterprise scope and depth.
· Experience presenting Security technical and compliance material to both technical and non-technical customers.

Preferred Qualifications

· Practical Public Sector project delivery experience.
· AWS certification, or ability to get certified within three months of hire.
· Experience with US Government compliance and security standards, including NIST, FedRAMP, FISMA, ICD 503.
· Understanding of Cloud Computing technologies and migration challenges
· Experience advising customers on cloud architectures and designs meeting US Government accreditation standards.
· Experience implementing security controls, SCTMs.
· Experience architecting/deploying/operating solutions built on AWS.
· Experience migrating or transforming legacy customer solutions to the cloud.
· Meets/exceeds Amazon’s leadership principles requirements for this role

· U.S. citizen with ability to obtain and maintain a Federal background check.
