Leidos is seeking a Salesforce Developer who is motivated by variety, is seeking a challenging environment for professional growth, and is interested in supporting an Investor-Owned Utility client headquartered in New Orleans, Louisiana. Leidos has a long-term customer who we have supported in all areas of IT operations since the client’s first outsourcing engagement over 20 years ago. The Salesforce developer needs strong experience in Community Cloud and knowledge of Service Cloud and Marketing Cloud.

They would be responsible for designing and developing custom solutions within the Salesforce platform with a deep understanding of Community Cloud features and capabilities and be able to design, develop, and implement custom components such as custom objects, fields, workflows, and automation. They would also need to have a good understanding of Service Cloud and Marketing Cloud to provide support for those areas as needed. The developer would work closely with stakeholders to gather requirements, design solutions, test and deploy changes. They should be able to integrate Salesforce with other systems and platforms and provide technical guidance to less experienced developers. Strong communication skills are essential as this role requires collaborating with cross-functional teams and providing technical guidance to business stakeholders.

Location: Candidates can be remote in the US. Candidate would need to be available for travel up to 10%

The Challenge:

  • Design and develop custom Salesforce solutions within the Salesforce platform to meet business requirements. This could include building custom objects, fields, workflows, automation, and integrations with other systems.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to clarify requirements, design solutions, and ensure the solution is meeting business needs. They should be able to communicate technical solutions to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience testing and deploying changes to Salesforce. This could include using tools such as Change Sets or Salesforce DX.
  • Maintaining existing Salesforce solutions to ensure they continue to meet business requirements. They should be able to troubleshoot issues and provide solutions as needed.
  • Provide technical guidance to less experienced developers and other stakeholders on best practices and recommended solutions.
  • Stay up-to-date on Salesforce releases to ensure they are using the platform to its full potential.

What Sets you Apart:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science with four plus (4+) years of relevant Salesforce developer experience. May consider more years of experience
  • Experience working with the Salesforce platform and be well-versed in all aspects of Salesforce development, including Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Web Components, and Salesforce APIs.
  • Strong understanding of Salesforce architecture and best practices
  • Deep expertise in specific Salesforce areas – such as Community Cloud, Service Cloud, Marketing Cloud, or Sales Cloud.
  • Experience working in an agile development environment and be comfortable working in sprints and using tools such as Jira.
  • Ability to communicate technical solutions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders and be comfortable leading meetings and presenting to executives.
  • Experience integrating Salesforce with other systems and platforms, including third-party APIs.
  • Committed to continuous learning and staying up to date on new Salesforce releases and features, as well as industry trends and best practices.
  • Ability to work independently, with minimal supervision and work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
  • Comfortable working in a fast paced, dynamic environment.
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize and coordinate multiple tasks to ensure project deadlines are met.
  • Strong communication (written and oral), documentation skills and interpersonal skills.
  • US Citizen and able to pass Public Trust Security Clearance

You Might Also Have:

  • Experience leading development teams and providing guidance to junior developers.
  • One or more Salesforce certifications, such as Salesforce Certified Platform Developer II or Salesforce Certified Technical Architect.
  • Six plus (6+) experience as a salesforce developer

Pay Range:

Pay Range $78,000.00 – $120,000.00 – $162,000.00

The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
