Overview
Mitsubishi Electric Power Products, Inc. (MEPPI) is looking for an experienced and driven Recruiting Specialist to execute company-wide recruiting, hiring, and onboarding processes. In this role you will partner with hiring managers from multiple divisions to execute recruiting plans to support business objectives in a fast growing and competitive industry.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Advanced recruiting and sourcing experience for manufacturing, administrative support, service, sales, and highly technical engineering roles.
- Experience overseeing and administering internal postings and promotions processes.
- High attention to detail focusing on processes, policies, procedures and compliance.
- Interest in the power industry including Transmission, Distribution, Transportation, and Critical Power.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Recruitment and Sourcing
- Manage full-lifecycle recruitment process including sourcing, screening, scheduling, interviewing, testing, conducting reference and background checks on applicants, and negotiating offers.
- Confer with management and supervisors to identify personnel needs, job specifications, job duties, qualifications, attributes, and skills.
- Develop recruitment strategies to increase applicant flow and fill job openings.
- Manage the use of external recruiters and employment agencies as needed to identify and recruit candidates.
Process
- Administer the internal job posting process by determining eligibility to bid, interviewing, and selecting successful candidates in cooperation with department managers/supervisors.
- Follow processes for record keeping, including tracking of candidates, hires, promotions and transfers, etc.
- Coach and train hiring managers on recruiting process and successfully promoting of MEPPI as a workplace of choice.
- Review and edit job descriptions written by others for job posting advertisements.
Outreach
- Develop and execute employment branding/social media strategies.
- Develop and maintain network of local contacts with an emphasis on technical and engineering skills.
- Develop and maintain professional relationships with college, university and community college placement offices as a source to generate qualified applicants.
- Assist with recruiting and administering the internship programs.
Policy and Compliance
- Maintain knowledge of legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting areas of responsibility and ensure policies, procedures, and reporting are in compliance.
- Coordinate preparation of annual Affirmative Action Plan including coordination of statistics, reports and consultant work.
- Provide interview training for hiring managers and other interviewers.
- Support and make recommendations to improve Company policies and procedures. Interpret policies, answer questions, and counsel employees regarding Human Resources matters.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s Degree in human resources, business, or related field, plus a minimum of five years’ relevant experience, or equivalent education and experience.
- Experience with full-lifecycle recruiting in the Engineering, Manufacturing, Business and Software Development areas. Knowledge of human resource issues including state and federal employment laws, employee relations practices, and compensation practices.
- Advanced knowledge of efficient recruiting and sourcing practices, including state-of-art interviewing skills and use of technology and social networking approaches to create broad sourcing opportunities.
- Developed computer skills, emphasizing knowledge of MSOffice products and applicant tracking software.
- Strong organizational, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
