Overview

ZeroV is seeking a full-time Accounting Specialist for its Finance team. This position is classified as a Leadership position. This position would begin January 2, 2025.

ZeroV is the state coalition whose mission is to abolish the social conditions and systems that spark, enable, and amplify intimate partner violence and to create communities where all Kentuckians can live and thrive in safety and peace, ZeroV has a Contract with the Cabinet for Health and Family Services (CHFS) to distribute state and federal funding to the 15 state-designated member programs (member programs) across the Commonwealth using Subcontracts.

Responsibilities:
·       Review and process purchase requests and monthly billings from member programs. This includes ensuring expenses are reasonable, allowable, and allocable under federal and state funding regulations and policies.

·       Conduct annual financial monitoring of member programs both on site and virtually.

·       Maintain the spreadsheet of Contract/Subcontract funding current.

·       Reconcile Trust & Agency balances for member programs with the amounts provided from the state annually.

·       Maintain/update the budget template for the Request for Proposal from member programs.

·       Process budget modifications and assist with Subcontract modifications.

·       Maintain/update the Inventory List under the Contract/Subcontracts.

·       Provide training and technical assistance to member programs on financial issues related to their Subcontract, as well as other grants they have with federal and state funders.

·       Assist in creating budgets for, and monitoring spending on all ZeroV’s grants, contracts, and projects.

·       Assist with internal accounting functions, such as Accounts Receivable, and Accounts Payable

·       Some travel required (in-state and out-of-state).

·       Other duties as assigned, including administrative activities in support of all projects.

Qualifications:
·       High level of experience with Word and Excel.

·       Proficient working on a Mac and utilizing videoconferencing (Zoom and Teams).

·       Experience working in QuickBooks and/or other similar accounting software.

·       Excellent understanding of grant budgets and rules around allowable expenses.

·       Have a deep commitment to ending gender-based violence, as well as other forms of intersecting oppressions including racism, classism, and ableism.

·       Be self-motivated, resourceful, creative, and able to work well in a team driven environment.

 

Salary:
·       Salary for this position is $70,000 plus a generous benefit package.

Location:
The duty station for this position is at the ZeroV office in Frankfort, KY; however, upon approval, there is the option to have an alternative working arrangement plan for telework. There will be in-person meetings or events at the Frankfort, KY office location and/or other designated sites that this position will be required to attend.

Program Specialist will be required to attend. Training provided and meetings attended will be a mix of virtual and in-person across KY.
