Marketing Content Leader, AWS Educate

To keep up with rapid technological advancement and the new world of work, there are several efforts across Amazon in progress to develop a digital-ready workforce. AWS Educate is Amazon’s global initiative to provide students and educators with the resources needed to accelerate cloud-related learning. Launched in 2015, there are now hundreds of thousands of students, over 10,000 educators and more than 2,400 institutions who use AWS Educate.

We are seeking an experienced, entrepreneurial, motivated, and strategic marketing leader with experience in driving awareness as well as adoption across the spectrum of tactics. This individual should have an extensive digital experience. The ideal candidate will have experience in education marketing. Some of the key job functions:
· Effectively collaborate cross-functionally to drive programs forward and achieve aligned goals.
· Help drive the over-arching business plan, owning the Marketing role, whether it’s driving, contributing or influencing in each of the various business area for areas including but not limited to event planning, webinars, blogs, email campaigns, media buying, Investor Relations (IR), and Public Relations (PR).
· Dive Deep into results, thoroughly understanding inputs and outputs, leading providing recommendations to optimize tactics for optimal ROI
· Exercise “Bias for Action” and “Learn and be Curious” by quickly learning AWS approved Marketing mechanisms as well as processes and effectively leverage them to complete marketing related activities
· Enforce discipline to brand standards and help guide messaging standards.
· Be the voice of the customer, ensuring their needs are at the forefront of efforts and help the team iterate to improve on our offering
· Create reports which track initiative, point to successes and roadblocks, and define solutions
· Present communications to team lead and senior management team

Basic Qualifications

· BA/BS degree required
· 4+ years of experience in Marketing
· 2+ years of experience with Digital subject matter
· 2+ years of experience within the Education space or Public Sector
· 2+ years of web design
· Background in brand messaging
· Experience with Media Buying, Campaigns, Emails to Member Database, Event Planning, Blogging, Webinars (setting up and facilitating for speakers), Research (including building surveys) and Public Relations (working with PR agency to maximize earned media).

Preferred Qualifications

· Masters or advanced degree preferred
· Gamification experience
· Teaching experience
· Experience conducting validation testing with learners, instructors, and administrators
· Experience with Marketo, SalesForce, WorkFront, SplashThat, Go-To-Webinar preferred.
· Competence in dealing with technical subjects
· Experience with learning management systems and educational technology
· Ability to be creative, flexible, and innovative in course design
· Experience conducting validation testing with learners, instructors, and administrators
· Ability to think and react in a high-energy, fast-paced environment
· Good organizational skills including prioritizing, scheduling, time management, and meeting deadlines
