Senior Marketing Manager - Manufacturing

Amazon Web Services is seeking a data-driven, creative, and well-written manufacturing marketing manager to execute content creation, content marketing, and operations as part of our Manufacturing industry marketing team. This is a critical role in AWS and will be an integral member of the industry team to support worldwide growth. The position will help execute a holistic marketing strategy across all areas of our organization in support of specific manufacturing go-to-market initiatives. (Sales, Product, Marketing, Business Development, Partner/Alliances, etc.). As a critical member of the team, you will develop compelling messaging, content, and programs for the manufacturing segment and key customer personas, assist with engaging press and analyst communities, position AWS’s offerings for ecosystem partners, and help with event execution. The ideal candidate should have a background marketing to the IT and/or operations space in the manufacturing industry and must have a passion for technology and how it can be used to create business outcomes for energy companies. The candidate must have the ability to transform complex technical concepts into easy-to-understand messaging and establish scalable mechanisms for managing work. Key Responsibilities: As a Marketing Manager, Manufacturing, you will be responsible for: Executing AWS’ go-to-market strategy for various sub-verticals of Manufacturing. Develop messaging, value propositions, core content, customer references, and go-to-market programs within the AWS manufacturing business. You will regularly engage with the senior leaders in the organization to develop and communicate how AWS benefits and transforms each industry segment. You will create and deliver consumable, highly impactful sales tools to the AWS field sales team that articulate the value and differentiation of the AWS service portfolio ensuring quality standards are met for all materials produced and released for the AWS field teams. As this is a global role, content needs to be globally scalable while also meeting the needs of the local markets. This role will develop and support activities at 1P and 3P conferences and events, positioning AWS as the leading Cloud provider for the manufacturing industry. You will ensure that we have the right content prepared and work with senior leadership to communicate that content to the industry in the most impactful way. You will also develop content in support of the industry website to promote use cases, customer successes, and references positioning the unique value AWS brings to the industry. You will develop thought leadership content that influences business decision-makers in the manufacturing industry, and ultimately helps compel those customers to engage with AWS.

Basic Qualifications

· Basic qualifications 5+ years of relevant work experience in fields such as industry marketing, product marketing, technical marketing, technical pre-sales, management consulting, or product management within the manufacturing industry.
· Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, technology, and/or relevant field of study such as computer science and/or cloud computing.

Preferred Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications MBA and/or computer science, engineering, cloud computing, or manufacturing automation background. Experience with the IT and OT audience in manufacturing is a plus. Experience launching new and disruptive products and services. Exhibits a track record of aligning with Amazon Leadership Principles. A career path that demonstrates increasing levels of responsibility, team building, and proven success delivering measurable marketing results on a global scale. Demonstrated track record in crafting compelling messaging, positioning, and marketing content. Professional oral and written communication skills with an innate attention to detail. Willingness and ability to travel globally (Approx 30%) and work independently and autonomously. Ability to manage a busy work schedule and manage multiple priorities to execute high-quality deliverables.
