Senior Program Manager

We are seeking a high energy professional for the position of Senior Program Manager, AWS Professional Services, Sales Enablement and Acceleration. This position will contribute to the continued success of AWS Professional Services by defining and implementing large scale Professional Services program support. With a clear focus on streamlining Professional Services enablement and deal flow, project work will range from process development, workflow redesign, and creation of new workflows, improving efficiencies, and reducing operational costs. A successful candidate will have the ability to effectively lead cross-functional teams and passion for scaling Professional Services functions across multiple disciplines and activities. This position requires strong business judgment, problem solving and excellent communication skills. A track record of delivering results in a fast paced, dynamic environment is a must. This position will help contribute to the team’s development and resources.

In addition, the successful candidate will: build, own, and product manage scalable capability-oriented programs (Amazon Mechanisms) along with global organizational stakeholders and field teams who execute them; offer “Develop the Best” to our field as a managed service – reduce the amount of time spent on administration while significantly increasing the outcomes of our Professional Services strategy; collaborate across AWS functions to ensure that we are learning from others and teaching others best practices, and; support the strategic planning process, the annual, quarterly, and monthly rhythm of business.

This is a customer facing role. You will be required to travel to client locations and deliver professional services when needed

Basic Qualifications

· BA or BS degree or equivalent experience
· 5+ years’ experience managing projects for a professional services or consulting organization or other large complex enterprise environment
· 3+ years’ experience leading complex large-scale or multiple mid-sized projects, including identifying partners and sub-project owners
· 3+ years’ experience with recruiting or human resources talent development
· Experience defining project scope, timeline, cost and risk, including building business cases and other analytical assessments
· Prior experience negotiating with both internal and external stakeholders, including meeting facilitation skills

Preferred Qualifications

· Master’s Degree
· Certification as a Project Management Professional (PMP)
· Experience in SalesForce, Excel, Relational Data Analysis, Visio, PowerPoint, Microsoft Word
· Written and verbal communication skills, including but not limited to presenting in front of groups
· Problem-solving and analytical skills
· Knowledge of project management methodologies
· A willingness to dive deep, experiment rapidly, and get things done
· Ability to establish cross functional, collaborative relationships
· Ability to analyze data to find trends and process gaps
· Strong written and verbal communication skills, including presentation skills
· Strong meeting facilitation skills and negotiation skills
· Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
· Self-starter who can deliver high-quality results in an ambiguous and rapidly changing environment
· Lean Expert and/or Six Sigma Green Belt certification preferred
