ES Tech, Product Manager-Technical

Amazon’s Employee Services Technology (ES tech) – Contact Channels Solutions Team is looking for a passionate, results-oriented and inventive Product Manager-Technical (PMT) to lead and drive delivery of solutions across our Contact Channels product lines. You will work with business owners, technology and HR partners at all levels to understand strategy, technical requirements and development timelines in order to enable the delivery of large-scale, cloud-based contact initiatives across global regions.

ES Tech is working on projects that enable employee self-sufficiency by providing simple, intuitive self-service tools for employees across channels such as voice and chat based bots and automation solutions. We will implement the overall self-service strategy and user experience for our employees and partners by integrating it with various AWS services, as well as HR systems and platforms like Salesforce, Content Management (CMS), PeopleSoft, Time and Attendance systems, and analytics ensuring a consistent global experience.

The ideal candidate will work successfully in a fast-paced environment, has solid business judgment and a strong technical background. The candidate has proven experience in partnering with business and technical teams, and success with launching new business models, initiatives and products. The candidate should have a deep technical understanding of web application development and experience with AWS services to be successful at design, development and delivery of the product. The successful candidate is customer obsessed, results and detail oriented, and have excellent problem solving abilities. The candidate must be skilled at anticipating and resolving technical problems, managing multiple priorities, and communicating effectively with all level of stakeholders, including key senior leaders.


· Deliver products on the Salesforce platform that align to customer strategic goals, ensuring solution is scalable, extensible, and maintainable Provide technical leadership by leading solution/design/architectural discussions and decisions
· Be comfortable with ambiguity in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment, and able to think big while paying careful attention to detail
· Identify, assess, track and mitigate issues, risks, roadblocks and escalations at multiple levels
· Create, maintain and communicate project status, metrics to stakeholders
· Work with a cross-functional teams to deliver project(s) in iterative release cycles with onshore and offshore global teams

Basic Qualifications

· Bachelors Degree with technical emphasis or related field
· 7 + years of experience in managing and delivering software development projects
· 5+ years of relevant technical program/product management experience with cloud based applications
· Experience in developing cloud based solutions and cross platform integrations
· Technical experience with scrum agile development methodology
· Strong understanding of key SDLC and architectural concepts
· Ability to work in a fast-paced and changing environment
· Strong written and verbal communications
· Ability to drive lead tough decision making, balancing business goals, technical implications

Preferred Qualifications

· Masters Degree with relevant technical discipline
· 7+ years’ relevant experience in information technology in the HR domain
· Experience in developing self-service applications or bots across various device platforms including mobile
· In-depth understanding of capabilities and constraints of AWS Services such as Lex, Connect, Lambda
· Development experience on AWS services using Lambda
