Middle Mile LP Logistics Execution Program Manager

Amazon Loss Prevention is seeking an experienced leader to support Amazon’s Loss Prevention Logistics Execution team. This position will lead the loss prevention effort in the growing middle mile on-road linehaul space. This person will partner with Amazon carrier managers to hold drivers and companies accountable for malicious activity and work with law enforcement to prosecute when appropriate. They will also partner with the Transportation Operations Management (TOM) and Transportation Execution Management (TEM) teams on a network level to create LP standard work that coincides with TOM/TEM policy and standards, encouraging industry security best practices. This role will influence Operations and Support partners to include Loss Prevention in new program development, business spaces, and initiatives. The ideal candidate will have extreme bias for action and leverage a deep understanding of operational barriers and opportunities in shipping and the transportation landscape.

Key Responsibilities Include:
· Act as the liaison and support function between the Loss Prevention Logistics Execution Team and Operations partners
· Build strong partnerships with operations leadership to help identify and mitigate risk regarding operational processes or new standards in the field
· Meet deliverable time frames set by leadership, which support business goals in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders
· Engage cross-functional support teams to assist in identifying and closing gaps in current LP programs
· Utilize Lean and Six Sigma methods to drive process improvements and increase efficiency
· Execute process improvements, best practice sharing, and standardization across ATS processes using Lean principles
· Enhance, track, and report on metrics which are key performance indicators, allowing performance improvements so that the desired outcomes are achieved to plan and in a timely manner
· Design and optimize the transportation network delivery solutions, and develop innovative projects that drive improvements in our transportation processes, to include design, measurement and performance while minimizing the variable cost impact on the fulfillment centers
· Leading and assisting with special projects, as assigned
· Travel domestically 50% of the time

Basic Qualifications

· A completed Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university or equivalent work experience
· 5+ years of experience in transportation, logistics, supply chain, loss prevention, or operations
· 5+ years of experience with MS Office Professional Suite, including the creation and utilization of Pivot Tables and Formulas
· 2+ Experience coordinating with a cross-functional teams to develop, implement, and measure programs





Preferred Qualifications

· Proven ability to work with and effectively influence operational leaders and other key departments within the organization
· Familiarity with Lean Six Sigma concepts or certification
· Experience with transportation or supply chain loss prevention
· TAPA certified
· Knowledge of customs and CTPAT programs
· Demonstrated experience of successfully driving complex, milestone-driven projects and carrying out changes across multi-country entities
· Experience with SQL queries
