WHS Program Manager- NA, WHS Launch Operations

We are looking for a WHS Launch Program Manager to join the WHS Launch Operations team, supporting the North America Customer Fulfillment WHS Launch Operations program. This team is responsible for assuring the success of WHS launch operations in the US and Canada for all sites that fall under NACF. The WHS Launch Operations teams is focused on the successful recruiting, hiring, onboarding, and training of WHS personnel at launch sites and is responsible for overseeing the execution of new initiatives and pilot projects at launch sites.

As the Program Manager III, you will be responsible for launch related projects that drive staffing, recruiting and new hire placement using data to deliver on expectations. Attention to detail, strong communication skills, and bias for action are core requirements of the Program Manager III.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

· Deliver results to achieve stated goals and projects as assigned
· Manage short term assignment support
· Work with recruiting to staff EHS positions for launch sites
· When necessary organize POD support to conduct candidate interviews
· Liaison with assimilation coordinator and recruiting for STA start dates for external hires
· Provide effective communication for external candidates
· Provide site support on execution of Learn By Doing during the STA
· Provide site support on the execution of STA actions for Road to Launch
· Identify and communicate network improvements and projects for site implementation
· Continually improve STA experience by identifying gaps, proposing solutions, and overseeing execution
· Support WHS short term assignment escalations where appropriate
· Partner to drive continual process improvement
· Collect, analyze, and present data to drive decision making as required
· Anticipate bottlenecks and blockers, assess risks, mitigate issues, and troubleshooting as needed

Basic Qualifications

· Bachelor’s Degree with extensive H&S Management experience, preferably gained in a lot margin, high volume environment with warehousing and logistics beneficial
· Flexible approach to work, able to manage own priorities, workload and travel
· Credibility and be able to effectively engage and influence other functional leaders and their teams, to build buy-in to WHS strategies and change processes
· Used to operating at all levels of the organizations from warehouse floor to board level
· Excellent communication and influencing skills-result orientated and tenacious
· Demonstrated collaborative skills and ability to work well within a team and achieve critical deadlines
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills
· Self-motivated with critical attention to detail, deadlines and reporting
· Demonstrated skill and passion for problem solving and operational excellence
· Ability to use Excel, Word, and other common desktop software applications
· Focus on ensuring the of Amazon customers
· 5 years’ experience providing project management support
